Transcending the Ego

soul ego

Albert Einstein

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”
-Albert Einstein

The fusion of soul and ego creates a direct channel for the wisdom, unconditional love, creativity, and healing energies of the soul to flow into the conscious mind. The synthesis of the formerly disparate elements of consciousness that occurs in the act of fusing the soul and ego connects the two poles of our being, uniting substance with spirit and creating a bridge across which the Divine light can flow quietly into this world.

Fusion and the Surrendered Ego

When the fusion of soul and ego occurs, the ego is transformed once again. It is no longer simply the healthy ego, learning to stand in its own power, expanding its sense of self in positive and supportive relationships, and beginning to grasp the significance and power of unconditional love. It is now the surrendered ego, the agent of the soul, and the voice of illumination, understanding, and compassion. The surrendered ego’s mission is to increase the power of the soul in the life of the individual and to manifest the individual’s true identity and purpose. Gandhi, Einstein, Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama, and Nelson Mandela are all examples of individuals who successfully fused their soul and personality in modern times.
By the time we reach this state of fusion, the covert whispers of the negative ego and its dangerous liaison with our toxicity is long over. Where the ego was once the command and control center for the worst elements in our nature, it is now the channel for the highest and most redemptive aspects of our character. As we heal and transform the ego, we redeem our lives. In its base phase, the ego’s orientation is negative. It is an agent of separation, dominated by fear, and has no interest in the growth or evolution of the individual. Control and power dominate its agenda. In its middle phase, the ego’s orientation is positive and healthy. It is striving to escape the shadow of fear that has dominated the individual and to overcome habitual behaviors and reactive patterns that have reinforced the power of the negative in the life of its host. The healthy ego is a vehicle of integration. It is learning to love unconditionally and stand in the power of the soul.

A Karma Generating Machine

In its highest phase, the ego is neither positive nor negative, but has surrendered to the soul and become detached from desire. The surrendered ego is emotionally balanced and centered in the light. It shines with inner peace and is radiant with joy. Unlike the negative ego, the surrendered ego is clear of hopeless entanglements and negative consequences. Where the negative ego is a karma generating machine the surrendered ego is an instrument of harmony and fulfillment. The surrendered ego is the Divine’s ambassador in this world.

Relationships and Group consciousness

In establishing positive and constructive relationships with other people, a person with a healthy ego is beginning to stretch his self-concept and open himself up to becoming a channel of unconditional love. When a group of people with healthy egos gets together, unconditional love is present and palpable. Love is the basis of equality. When unconditional love is present, everyone in the group feels both unique and equal. When unconditional love is absent, people struggle against each other to stand out and be unique. What is natural and obvious when our eyes are open with love is no longer accessible or apparent once love’s clarity is lost. When love dissolves, group consciousness no longer exists.

A Multi-Generational Problem

To illustrate these ideas, lets imagine a large, multi-generational family. The parents have several children. These children are now all grown up, married with teenage children of their own. One young teenager dislikes one of his cousins and has for a long time but keeps his animosity hidden. The only hint of his disdain is that he is cool to his cousin. One Sunday, there is a family gathering at the grandparents’ home. Some of the boys decide to play touch football in the backyard. The boy who is secretly disliked by his cousin lines up as a receiver on offense and goes out for a pass. The cousin who detests him is the defensive back on the other team. The play develops. The receiver runs his route. He breaks open for a moment. The ball is thrown, a perfect strike. He turns to make the catch. Instead of trying to break up the play, the defender goes for his cousin, hitting him with a vicious shot in the back of his thighs. The boy flies up in the air then falls on the base of his spine in pain and shock. After all, this is touch football, not tackle, and tackling is not allowed. The receiver gets slowly to his feet and confronts his cousin. This, of course, is just what the resentful cousin hoped would happen. He wants his unsuspecting cousin to start something so he will have the excuse he needs to hit him with the full fury of his resentment. Words are spoken in anger. Insults are hurled back and forth. Pushing ensues. The receiver takes a wild swing at his cousin and misses.

The cousin who has set up the entire situation is a stone cipher. No emotion breaks through the cold mask of his face, his hard eyes the only hint of the hatred that lies beneath. In his head, where no one can see his thoughts, he secretly exults. You’ve just made your fatal mistake cousin, he says silently to himself. You did just what I wanted you to do. You’ve given me the green light to destroy you. A hint of a smile plays at the ends of his lips. His right arm moves forward suddenly in a quick, compact motion. He hits his cousin as hard as he can in the face. The boy collapses, his lip split, his face bloodied. Pandemonium breaks out. The other boys go running into the house. The adults quickly come running out.

A Toxic Situation

The father of the boy who has been hit confronts his nephew. His younger brother, the father of the resentful cousin comes to his son’s defense. Pretty soon the two brothers are pushing each other, giving new life to old grudges from their own teenage years. The other brothers and sisters try to break up the widening dispute to no avail. Instead of ending the conflict, they are drawn into it. The conflict has now escalated to a new level, moving through the generations and splitting the family into factions. The long-term cohesiveness of the family has been ruined. The entire family is now highly reactive and out of control. Each faction is self-righteous, certain the other side is wrong. Each faction wants to dominate and punish the other one. Even the grandparents are on different sides of the family conflict. In the blink of an eye the family has shifted from group consciousness to zero sum warfare. Instead of allowing love and respect to hold the family together, they are now all fighting for domination and control. Everybody wants to be right. The situation has become highly polarizing. The negative energy they have foolishly and unconsciously created together now has a life of its own and will draw them further apart. In the end, the conflict will wound and diminish everybody. There will be no winners.

Family Contamination

Was any of this really necessary? One person, infected with a smoldering resentment, contaminated the entire family, reawakened
forgotten tensions, and created group conflict. A once loving family with a long history of cohesion reacted to conflict with more conflict and lost its cohesive center in the blink of an eye.

Losing Love

As our example suggests, it is easy to lose love, easy to react, and easy to create conflict with little provocation. While the above example is imaginary, it is not far-fetched. Things like this happen all the time and are but a reminder of the covert and insidious nature of evil. If we are easily provoked and allow ourselves to react inappropriately, we open the door to evil and thoughtlessly invite it into our lives.

Losing Self-Control

If the cousin who had been tackled had recognized the resentment in his cousin’s actions and been able to maintain his self-control, he might have gotten up, walked away, and said nothing. Instead, he reacted and helped his cousin hurt him. Instead of walking away from trouble, he walked into trouble, and the rest of the family followed suit. This is one of those times when it would have been far better to turn the other cheek than to let one’s ego get in the way. It takes a clear and mature person to have the wisdom and self-control to recognize when it is time to walk away from trouble. While it is no easy task, neither is it an impossible one.

Sobering Facts as 2012 Ends

The Federal Reserve: The Biggest Scam In History

Each day 22,000 to 27,000 children die due to the dual scourges of poverty; starvation and malnutrition. Total childhood deaths from these causes total approximately 10,000,000 children a year. Of the 2.2 billion children in the world approximately 1 billion live in poverty.

According to Dr. Webster Tarpley, “These deaths occur in the world in which about a billion people try to survive on less than one dollar per day. 2.6 billion people or 40% of the world’s population are struggling to subsist on less than two dollars a day. It is a world in which a total of 3 billion people or 50% of the world total must try to get along on less than $2.50 per day. For all the talk of a growing middle class made possible by globalization, 80% of humanity receives less than $10 per day. At the other end of the scale, the most prosperous 20% of the world’s population account for 75% of total world income, and this distribution becomes even more extreme when permanent assets are considered.”

Over one billion people lack access to fresh water. The United Nations International Labor Organization estimates that in developed countries like the U.S. and Europe the unemployment rate coupled with the under employment rate approaches 30%.

Welcome to the Novus Ordo Seclorum. (See back of dollar bill.) Peace on Earth. Goodwill to men. That’s what we the people want. Sadly, it’s not what the global controllers want.

energy healing

I held many energy healing seminars and workshops in East Lansing, MI. My Friday night lectures on energy healing were always packed. At the end of every one of these talk I would channel streams of very powerful healing energy to the entire audience. This invariably brought up repressed, toxic emotion in most people there. It was not unusual to see  people sobbing when their buried pain surfaced. In fact, it would be most unusual if it didn’t.

Attending one of these energy healing lectures was a mangement consultant who was blown away by what he felt happening inside him and witnessed around him when I channeled the healing energies. He certainly didn’t think he’d feel anything at all and he wasn’t expecting everyone around him, men as well as women, to be sobbing. He didn’t come to the energy healing workshop the next day but he couldn’t get what he had felt and witnessed out of his head.

Two weeks later, after I had returned to Austin, he called and set up an energy healing phone consultation. Harvey told me he had a sharp, constant pain in his back that he couldn’t get rid of. He had been to MD’s, chiropractors, massage therapists, rolfers and reiki practitioners, all to no avail. He still had the pain. It was as constant and sharp as ever.

“Do you think your energy healing can help me?” he asked.

“I do,” I said.

We set up his energy healing consultation for the next week. When he called, I had him lay down and get comfortable. I told him I was placing one of my hands on the base of his skull and the other on the base of his spine. I asked him to tell me when he felt relaxed. A moment later he told me that he felt the healing energy pouring into him and felt extraordinarily relaxed. He was surprised that the energy healing could be transmitted over the phone, that he would feel it so strongly and that it would affect him so quickly.

I told him that was excellent. It meant his “stuff” should surface easily.

When I put my hands on a client in the beginning of an energy healing session it’s like reading an xray for me. I can usually see what going on in the clients body and what the cause of that clients discomfort is. In Harvey’s case I could see that he had a past life as a soldier in medievel times and died on the battlefield when his upper spine was severed by a strike from a broadsword.

I switched my hands and told Harvey I was putting one hand on his spine bewteen his lungs and my other hand on his chest. When he felt the healing energy flowing into his chest I had him imagine that he was walking down a flight of steps from his head to his chest. When he reached his chest I asked him to feel the blocked energy there and notice how it felt.

Harvey said he felt terrified. I told him to give the feeling of terror a sound and to keep repeating it. Harvey made a sound like AAhh! a few times then started screaming at the top of his lungs. The initial sounds I asked him to make had primed the pump. Now his toxic emotions were pouring out of  their own accord. He was powerless to stop it. It was asif a volcano had exploded inside him. His screams went on for quite awhile. When they were over, the energy shifted from a bright red into a golden light. When the energy shifted, Harvey grew incredibly calm.

We spoke a moment later.

“That was the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced,” he said.

“Can you describe it,” I said.

“I was in a battle and run through with a broad sword. It was hundreds of years ago. How could this be affecting me now?”

“The body dies. The soul doesn’t. If you don’t clear the energy of traumatic experiences from your body in the lifetime in which they occured,  they will be stored in your soul to be worked out in a future life. That’s the law. Few people understand this. That’s why trauma will repeat time and time again, although in a different form, until is cleared. That’s one of the reasons why energy healing is so effective. How do you feel?”

“My clothes are soaking wet, but the pain in my back is gone.”

“It won’t come back. You’ve cleared the trauma that caused it.”

“I hope you’re right. This has gone on for years.”

Harvey called me back a week later.

“I feel great,” he said. “My back has been fine since you worked on it. By the way, something else happened in my energy healing session.”

“What’s that?” I asked.

“I’m an inch taller!”

“That’s great! That’s because the block in your back had compressed your spine. The block is gone so your spine is no longer compressed.  Now you can walk tall, carry a big stick and be a scary dude.”

We had a good laugh over that.

Healing Stories – Long Distance Healing

long distance healing

Big Ben, Parliament Building, London UK

This is a story about long distance healing. The ironic thing is that I had to go a long distance, from Palo Alto, CA to London, UK to do this particular long distance healing. My purpose in going to London was to see my fiance, who was doing a semester abroad. At the time, doing any healing energy work, let alone long distance healing of any kind was the furthest thing from my mind.

My fiancee was staying with a family in London. Peter and Natalie were kind and open. They had a lovely twelve year old daughter named Jo. When I arrived, they promptly invited me to dinner. After dinner I asked Peter if he had a headache. He was a little taken aback.

“How did you know that?” he asked.

“I see it,” I replied.

“You see it?” he asked incredulously.

“It’s in your energy field. Would you like me to get rid of it for you?”

“O.K.,” he said dubiously.

I didn’t move and continued talking with the rest of the family. A minute later I asked Peter how his headache was?

“It’s gone,” he answered, clearly shocked that something had actually happened.

“How’s your energy level?” I asked him.

“Great!” he answered.

Unfortunately, I had overdone it. Peter had so much energy that night that he was up to four in the morning.  Nevertheless, Peter’s story spread through the neighborhood like a wildfire. I was besieged by many of their friends and neighbors wanting my help. Everyone had tons of questions.

A few days later, my fiancee and I were scheduled to visit Bath for a couple of days. The morning of our departure, their daughter Jo came down with the flu. The family was crestfallen. Jo was supposed to leave the next morning for her class trip. It was the highlight of the school year. She had been looking forward to the trip to the seashore all year and had been hoarding all her babysitting money so she’d be able to go. Now it looked like she wasn’t going to be able to join her class at all. Peter and Natalie pleaded with me to heal her. I was exhausted from working on everyone in the neighborhood so I told them I would work on Jo that evening from Bath after I recharged my energies. I just had nothing to give at the moment.

“How can you heal her from Bath?” a crestfallen Peter asked.

“The same way I healed your headache,” I answered. “Long distance healing is very effective.”

That night my fiancee was very tired and didn’t want to go out for dinner. So I found a Chinese restaurant and sat down by myself to order dinner. The restaurant was not very crowded. After the waitress took my order I decided it was time to work on Jo. I started blasting her with pink energy via long distance healing. While I sent the long distance healing energy I saw a vision of her in my mind’s eye. In my vision Jo sat up and said, “That’s enough! That’s enough!” I stopped sending the long distance healing energy. Jo lay down and went immediately back to sleep.

After dinner I went back to the Bed and Breakfast where we were staying and told my fiancee what had happened with my long distance healing of Jo. Two days later we returned to London. When we reached Peter and Natalie’s house, only Natalie was home. We told her about Bath, then I told her what had happened when I sent the long distance healing energy to Jo. She went white as a ghost, got up and went into kitchen.

When she returned, she told us that Jo had woken up the next day perfectly fine.  They packed her things and drove her down to seashore to join her class.

A few days later I returned to California.

A couple of weeks passed. My fiance was in her room at Peter and Natalie’s studying for final exams. It was a warm day in late May and her window was wide open. Natalie was in the backyard taking in the laundry and talking to her neighbor.

My fiance couldn’t help but overhear their conversation.

“I was sitting with Jo in her bedroom the night she had the flu. She had fallen into a deep sleep when all of a sudden she sat straight up and screamed “That’s enough!”

“She didn’t!”, said the neighbor. “What do you think she was screaming about?”

“I don’t know. But she screamed it twice.”

“What happened next?” the neighbor asked.

“Nothing. She went straight back to sleep. When she woke in the morning she was perfectly fine.”

“Well, isn’t that the damnedest thing,” said the neighbor. “Did it have anything to do with that bloke who was here from the states? He was all anyone talked about for days.”

Natalie folded a bedsheet. “Don’t know,” she answered tersely.

My fiance smiled as the truth finally came out and promptly wrote me a letter.

The Four Phases of the Healing Process

http://www.flickr.com/photos/niwota-studios/3978065572/sizes/l/in/photostream/

Today I’m going to share a client’s story that illustrates  the four phases on the healing process: find it, face it, feel it, and finish it. This story does all of that and more. It is Linda Paquette’s story and it is told in her own words. Linda now lives in Seward AK and operates a series of cabins called Angels Rest. For those of you looking for an exotic vacation spot in unsurpassed beauty Linda’s place has that beauty in spades. It’s got to be one of the most peaceful and inspiring places on the planet. Check out the pictures at www.angelsrest.com They will take your breath away.

Now here’s Linda’s story in her own words.

I first started having troubles with my back when I was in college (ʹ72-ʹ76). At that time I was a skier and as I recall the first time was after a ski trip and something between my shoulders wasnʹt quite right. I had a friend whose mom was a nurse, and she ʺcrackedʺ my back and all was well. However as time went by those types of occurrences would increase. Every time I moved for example (and of course college kids move a lot!). Later I also had a very small girl friend, and Iʹd get her to walk on my back to put things back. My back problems are never a huge issue and usually I could get someone to put it back when needed. I never had to see professional help at that point. Time passes and I moved to NYC and was managing a chic gift & candy store. On Valentineʹs day in ʹ81 I had to lift and set down a huge, heavy jar full of candy, multiple times. The next day I could barely walk, sit, bend over. I had a herniated disk in my lower back, but it took a while to find that out because the store didnʹt have any medical insurance and neither did I; nor did I have any $ for a doctor. So, the owners sent me to their chiropractor that they loved, and he helped a lot, but he also said I needed to stop working and lay in bed for about a month. Which, of course I could not do. So, time passes and I donʹt get better, gradually get worse and by the end of April Iʹm hospitalized and put in traction for three weeks. At the end of the three weeks I felt really well and could walk painlessly when they sent me home. I left within a few days on a cross country trip to Michigan to start a new job (I had actually at that time discovered my dream to move to Alaska, and while I had not been able to land a job in Alaska, I had been able to find a job in Michigan, which I figured was a good preview of what an Alaskan winter would be like (since MI actually has worse weather than AK), and would cut my distance to travel when I did get a job in AK. I either walked too much before I left on the trip, or the sitting on the trip did me in; either way, I got as far as my boyfriendʹs parents house in Ohio (he was driving) and was a goner. Couldnʹt walk, bend over, sit, etc. Went to their favorite chiropractor who helped some but not enough to get me better. There was no way I could care for myself, nor start my job in MI; so my car and the trailer full of stuff we were towing all went into a storage unit and I flew to California to stay with relatives until I was well again. Basically a month there not doing anything and I was well enough to get around. In Michigan I found a chiropractor right away and started by going several times a day, every day, 5 days a week. I was really ʺtweeked.ʺ Heʹd get me all good and by noon or evening Iʹd be out again. Months of this went by and then years, gradually weaning back to once a day 5 days a week, to 3 days a week to once a week, once every two……eventually, by the time I came to see you, it was about once a month or two. BUT, Iʹd go home just about every day and have my husband crack my upper back. Iʹd just go to the chiropractor when my lower back would be out which was the serious part (even back then, the back problem had involved the right hip, sciatica down the right leg, etc.), the upper part was easy to take care of at home. Time passes which brings me to my introduction to you and our first session.

My husband and I had friends that we normally spent most of the weekend with. One Friday night the wife, Jan, wanted to go to see a healer doing a talk at Michigan State University. (Iʹm thinking this was right around ʹ90 or ʹ91?) The healer, she told me was good at healing present day problems through past lives. I had gone to a psychic several times and believed in past lives. I have from my first memories, as almost a baby, the deepest sense that I was looking for someone (a man). I will jokingly tell people

I was disappointed by the delivery doctor, because in the womb I was sure HE was THE ONE I was to find. Thatʹs how far back this sense of ʺheʹs out here somewhere, I just have to find himʺ goes. So, the past lives part was a no brainer and going with her made perfect sense to me; I was and still am very curious about how all of this ʺstuffʺ that life is made up of works! (I have a long history of psychic~ness myself and to this day wonder if Iʹm supposed to do something more than I do with it). So, we attended. It was held in a large room in one of the upper parts of one of the older buildings on the north side of the MSU campus. I remember being surprised at how many people were there; AND how during the course of the night you were able to elicit such incredible emotional reactions out of the group.

Iʹm not one for letting my hair down to such an extent, in public, and you managed to get a huge room of people all crying and wailing and some laughing in a hysterical manner. My friend was one of those, and because of my reaction to her reaction I was unable to let loose with the rest of them. But I was all the more curious! So, at the end of the evening I put my name on the wait list for a private session. If you were able to touch those people in a public session, I very much was interested in seeing what we could do in a private session. My friend signed up for the next day, when you were having a small work group of pairs of people (as I recall). I couldnʹt see myself letting loose to that extent even in front of a small group of people.

As I recall I got a call on Monday at work that you could see me Tuesday; there had been a cancellation. I remember as I parked and walked up to the house in the neighborhood behind Frandor how strange I found my behavior. Here I was walking into a house of someone I didnʹt know to meet privately with a man I did not know, with no one else around and at that point, my husband not even knowing where I was. (I certainly donʹt think I could have done such a thing if I were still living in NYC for example.)

Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, Oranienburg, Germany

So, in I go and you had a massage table or the like set up and nice music and I laid down and you placed your hands on my abdomen and your breath caught and you said ʺyouʹve been through the warsʺ with an incredible amount of compassion in your voice, and I BURST INTO TEARS!!!! I was overcome with the feeling that ʺfinally, someone who knows me.ʺ Shortly thereafter you coaxed me to describe the images I was seeing and a movie came forward of me in a Nazi concentration camp, in love with a Nazi officer who was using me yet at the same time claiming to protect me. My ʺjobʺ was to carry the dead out of the gas chambers and throw them in the pits/piles of other bodies. His promise to me was that as soon as he could he would get me out of there. My back problems all came from these activities, the lifting and carrying, or dragging when I could not lift (but the officers didnʹt like me to drag them, the wanted them carried). My back finally gave out on me, and I was no longer able to perform my job; my ʺboyfriendʺ was unable to protect me, and I was eventually stripped and gassed. My dying words were ʺit isnʹt fair, it isnʹt fair, it isnʹt fair……ʺ

Immediately I realized my entire life, one thing that had always caused me much pain and heartache were acts of un-fairness. It was always deeply upsetting to me, my entire childhood and adult life when things would happen that werenʹt fair. I used to meditate on ʺno where is it written hat life is fairʺ as a way to try to overcome this huge issue in my life. Suddenly, that all fell away. I no longer had a problem with fairness.

Secondarily, and it took a little while for this to become clear; I no longer asked my husband to crack my back and my visits to the chiropractor dropped to once in a year maybe; usually after some precipitating incident, like a move, or a badly designed desk/chair setup.

Finally, the whole ʺheʹs out there Iʹve just got to find himʺ all suddenly made sense to me. Iʹd always imagined a guy in a uniform; and here was a guy in a uniform. Plus, to follow the hole past lives thing through, it would have most likely been the very last life, since I was born in ʹ54. Interestingly enough, my first husband was German, liked to dress up in his band uniform, and looked A LOT like the guy in my vision…..

It was, as I have the numerous people to whom Iʹve shared this story ʺthe best money I ever spent!ʺ

The Secret Laws of the Shadow: Part 4

http://www.flickr.com/photos/lightning-pam/2292336683/sizes/s/in/photostream/

The Purpose of Life

The real purpose of life is to heal ourselves so we may realize who we are at highest level of our being. While this may sound like a simple task the truth is that the fulfillment of this purpose is anything but simple and the time required to reach this goal is anything but short. The fulfillment of this purpose takes hundreds of lifetimes.

Soul Age

While we are all at different physical ages we are also all at different soul ages. See the work of Holly Coleman for a more complete discussion on this fascinating topic.  Soul ages range from infant, baby, young, mature, to old. Each age has seven levels. Seventh level Old Souls are those closest to Self-realization.

Old Souls

The entire Old Soul level makes up no more than 12 to 13% of the world’s population. Seventh level Old Souls are even rarer, making up no more than 1/7th of that 12 to 13%, or approximately 1.85% of the world’s population. Since the soul age of most people on the planet is heavily bunched in the young and early mature brackets our society embodies the values of young and early mature souls. Image and personal success are more important than healing, compassion and service. Old Souls often feel estranged from the conventional world around them because the prevailing societal values are not in alignment with their own.

Destiny

Regardless of  soul age we can do much to heal our lives, move forward in our growth, and accelerate our evolutionary process. However, if we choose to live our life within the constraints of conventional values and not work to heal our inner landscape our progress will be virtually undetectable. Our shadow will act as a drag on our progress and both the level of success we hoped to experience and the degree of consciousness we wished to attain will remain beyond our reach. Denial of destiny is the fourth secret law of the shadow. As long as the shadow remains intact the negative ego continues to be the dominant player in the psyche and the soul is excluded from having an uplifting impact in our life. When the soul is excluded from participation in our life there can be no healing or movement toward Self- realization.

However, once we decide to transform ourselves we are in position to change our life. The first task of transformation is to tackle the shadow. We do this in a fourfold process:

• First, we must find the hidden traumas in our subconscious.

• Second, we must face them.

• Third, we must feel and express the toxic emotions hidden in our bodies.

• Fourth, we must forgive those who have hurt us as well as ourselves.

When we are able to take all four steps we heal that piece of karma and deactivate that part of our shadow. This process must be repeated for each layer of our karma.

Medieval Europe

Sam came to a lecture I gave at Michigan State University. At the end of the lecture I channeled healing energy to everyone in the audience to facilitate their healing. Two weeks later I received a call from Sam. He said that he had definitely felt something the night of the lecture and wanted to see if I might be able to help him heal his life over the phone. For many years he had experienced an acute pain in his back that no form of medicine or therapy had been able to alleviate. He had tried conventional medicine, chiropractic, rolfing, physical therapy, and massage. Nothing had worked. We scheduled a session for the next week. When he called I began by sending the healing energy over the phone to relax him and within a few minutes he was deeply relaxed. As the healing light circulated in his body I was able to see the blocked energy in his back and the cause of it. In another life in medieval Europe he had been a soldier. During a battle he had been run through with a broadsword.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/oldweston/2076316026/sizes/s/in/photostream/

I knew that as soon as I told him what I had seen it would elicit a powerful reaction in him. It did. Just mentioning the word broadsword touched the hidden emotions that were stored in his back. He wailed uncontrollably for the rest of that session as his toxicity  poured out of him. At the end of the session he reported that he was burning up, his clothing was soaking wet, and for the first time in more than a decade he had no pain in his back. The healing had begun.

We did a follow up session a week later. The pain had never come back, he was experiencing more peace than he had ever thought possible, and he was even an inch taller!

When I told him about that medieval life we had found the source of his problem. The healing energy pouring through his system had brought the first three steps of the healing cycle together at the same moment. He found the source of his pain, faced it, and felt it simultaneously. By clearing it completely out of his system he had also achieved forgiveness and completion. Healing the shadow often produces miracles, freeing us to have a deeper, richer, happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life. Sam did.
