Do you know how Mark Twain wrote his books? He’d sit down and write until the power of his inner muse went from hot to cold. When the story’s energy ran down and he was out of inspiration he’d put the story on the shelf and wouldn’t pick it up again until he felt his subconscious well was full again. Then he’d write at a feverish pitch until he finished the story. When he wrote he felt like a secretary taking dictation from his subconscious.
When I write I never know where the characters will lead me and how the story with all its twists and turns will develop. Writing is as much of an adventure for the writer as it the reader, maybe more. So sign up for my email list and this is one adventure I can share with you.
